Well, I know I haven't been around here for awhile, but we are getting ready for SPRING and that means that all the birds (well, MOST of the birds, especially Boyd) can go outside! It has been very nice since the din has quieted down inside the house, and the birds couldn't be happier with the sun, the wind, and lots of birdy visitors like quail, oreols, and hummingbirds!
One of our newest additions is very used to being outside - his name is Tico and he's a Macaw (like the one in the picture of moi, but we've been told he's a male, the one on my shoulder is a female). He is such a sweetie once you let him warm up to you. We actually found a home for the two eclectuses (how in the heck am I supposed to spell that?) and we brought Tico home to stay with us. He is used to being outside, so he hangs out on top of his cage right next to our bedroom window - he has the most beautiful colors!
So, welcome Tico (pictures of him to follow), and welcome to the outdoors again Boyd. We know that you are much happier out here!
